Kerala State Film Award Winners 2025

The 55th Kerala State Film Awards results for films released in 2024 have been officially declared today on November 3, 2025, recognizing outstanding achievements in Malayalam cinema across various artistic and technical categories. 

The winners were announced by the Kerala Minister for Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs, Saji Cherian, following the meticulous evaluation of 128 submitted feature films by the jury.

This year's awards highlight strong performances and technical excellence across the board. The survival drama 'Manjummel Boys', directed by Chidambaram, secured the highly coveted Best Film award, leading with a total of nine wins.

Veteran star Mammootty earned his seventh Best Actor award (broke the record for most wins in the category; previous record was of Mohanlal & Urvashi who won 6 each) for his performance in Bramayugam, while Shamla Hamza was honored with the Best Actress award for her role in Feminichi Fathima.

The 7-member jury, led by the distinguished actor and director Prakash Raj, emphasized films that demonstrated technical mastery, compelling narratives, and strong social relevance. 

'Paradise'  the Indian-Sri Lankan co-production, directed by Sri Lankan director Prasanna Vithanage won the Best Story award. 

It was his first major collaboration involving Indian production houses and featuring a Malayali story/cast.

The results provide a comprehensive overview of the quality and diversity present in Malayalam cinema today.
